(More customer reviews)I got a copy of Project Management Communications Bible a week ago. I have been managing projects for about 15 years, the last 10 in the Technology space. I have always known that while I have the technical skills, that the field of Project Management is about communications. This book provides an excellent reference to map phases of the project with communication tools, for the different recipients of information (external customers, internal executives, project teams). I found a lot of new information in the book that I can see helping me on my Projects. I have added a new task to my projects in progress as well as those on the horizon to create a PM Communications Tools List Checklist to insure that I am using the tools to communicate effectively. I appreciate that many of the tools in the book have downloadable versions on the CD-ROM, many of which use the Microsoft line of software, so that I can download and edit different tools that I need. In particular, I downloaded the PM Communications Tools List, edited it in Excel, and am taking an inventory of which types of high priority tools I currently use, those I don't, those that are applicable and those that are not. It's amazing that the feedback I receive during a project is closely tied to the types of tools I use so I know where I can improve. I plan to continue to use this book as an ongoing reference guide and where I am having issues on a project, see if I can overcome them by adding some new communication methods. I can already picture the benefits of adding more communication on my projects.
