Some of the references and data in this book are outdated. For example in chapter two the formulas for CPM event times and the several pages of PERT duration calculations (and PERT is not even used any more) are not reflective of current college teaching. Then in chapter 4 the earned value information again uses aged terminology (BCWP for example instead of PV). For a better history lession that shows the old with the new terminology, I recommend EARNED VALUE PROJECT MANAGEMENT by Flemming and Koppelman. Also, this book should be read in tandom with that book and the book EFFECTIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT (fourth edition) by Wysocki.
