The first section provides a good overview of PM along with an introduction to the phases of a project. The PMBOK process groups are covered in a concise and clear manner, and sample templates of PM documents are given.
The second section covers the PMBOK knowledge areas (Risk, Cost, Quality etc.), including advanced techniques of Earned Value and program management. Descriptions of methods utilizing project management tools and techniques in business applications are given. The book ends with a guide to PMP certification.
Case studies are depicted throughout, as well as "Test Yourself" sections for every chapter. An excellent resource.
